Face and Clarity

I got this in my soap and glory set at christmas (pretty sure its called the splendour!? the big bag on goodness anyway!) Ive tried a few things of soap and glory before and absolutely loved them, 1) for the smell because lets be honest it basically makes you want to eat it! and 2) its a brand that dosnt (touch wood) break me out as my skin is very sensitive i have to be careful with things.

So when i received this for christmas from mummykins I was very shocked, as my mum tends to buy higher brands for christmas i.e clique or clarins (which both make my skin horrible fyi) but clearly this year she had taken mental note of all the pink containers on in the bathroom and then saw this and decided to buy that instead, which I'm ever so grateful for :) As you see higher priced brands arn't always the best!

Ramble over, i was excited to try the face skincare as its something i hadn't tried from the brand, so on christmas day i eagerly waited to take my makeup off and use this! Its described as a "Vitamin C 3-in-1 facial wash with super fruit plum and a skin brightening complex" I never understand much of the mumbo-jumbo, but basically its amazing. Its the only cleanser I've ever used thats actually reduced my redness after using it rather then making it worse, a lot of other ones also make my skin feel really tight and dry afterwards as i already suffer with dry skin but this made it feel very moisturised and soft and barely anything dry patches in sight! The bottom picture shows the little pink beads in the product that i can only say exfoliates but in a very gentle way, that obviously makes all my dry patches disappear! which is a great thing for me because i've had to use soap and glory flake away on my face for a while as its the only thing that dosnt break me out, but i can only use it about twice a week because its so harsh on my skin! leaving me with dry patches every other day, so not a good look! but thankfully I've now found something i can use everyday that makes my skin nicely balanced. Im not sure how much this retails for separately but I'm sure most S&G products are about £6-£8 so compared to clinique ect and even no7 which i also love as a skincare brand, its a complete bargain! i'll definitely be repurchasing this when i run out!

Do you use any soap and glory products you love and would recommend?

I was a little bit naughty and spent some pennies on a few new things, eep! although my excuse is that it was payday and we all deserve a little treat after working so hard for a whole month, dont you think? anyway, onto the good stuff.

+ Lush "Angels on bare skin" + Bodyshop duo body butter "Vanilla" + MUA powder
+ Beauty UK baked blush "royal rose" + Accessorize baked eyeshadow + Famous baked eyeshadow "Shade 2"

so apparently for some reason i became abit obsessed with baked products that day. Something about them just makes me go 'ooh pretty' and then before i know it im handing over my card to the lady in superdrug and walking out with a huge smile on my face.

My first new little baby is from accessorize, i love this brand just for the cute little packaging alone - but i have to say there baked products are some of my favourites! Im not to sure on the name as i dont have it with me as im typing this, but if anyone needs it let me know & i'll post a comment back to it! It's actually such a gorgeous shimmery beigy- golden brown tone, perfect if your trying to create a dewy but natural look (as i did today and it worked amazing) the second eyeshadow is from the famous range in superdrug, i think its "famous by sue moxley" or something like that, either way - all the stuffs always half price so this was the ridiculously good price of £2, even though you can see its about half the size of the other one! It's a deeper brown, still very shimmery.

I already own a baked blush from beauty uk in a more peachy color, so thought i'd try this one as a brighter option! its gorgeous, very pigmented and a great price at £3.99, and who doesn't love a lot of baked pink goodness?

This is the first body shop body butter i've EVER used. I've always said they should have a vanilla one and then i'd buy it, and now they've brought out there "duo" range, that is indeed what they have done. However, i am a little disappointed in it - it smells like vanilla, but a only what you can describe as "funky" vanilla, not to appealing at all. I also dont think the body butter itself is OVERLY moisturizing, i've only used it once at the moment though so i will let you all know what i think at a later date!

*i'm yet to use the powder, and i will be doing a full detailed post about angels on bare skin soon. :)
