# NOVEMBER FAVOURITES

Can you beleive its decemeber already? I cant! Although ive been waiting for it to happen for what feels like forever, now its here it seems like a mad rush of christmas excitment all at once. Its also definitly got alot colder over the past month, going from a leather jacket to about nine jumpers and a big coat has definitly occured & all the beauty regimes that go with it.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish And Liz Earle Toner
You can read about these products from my post below, but these two things have definitly helped me out this month. I have dry skin at the best of times but in winter, it just gets ridiculous. These two things plus exfoliation 2 times a week have kept my skin in tip top condition.

Redken Extreme Shampoo & Conditioner
I have been dieing to try these out for god knows how long now and finally took the plunge and just brought them. Id been using a bedhead shampoo for over two years and even though i loved it at first, it wasnt doing anything for me anymore and i found myself wanting something new. Id heard good things about this shampoo threw the blogosphere and im so glad that i did end up buying it. It makes my hair soft, but easy to manage and smells pretty yummy too.

Mac Omega Eyeshadow
I use this for my eyebrows everyday but it has never had a mention before, and for such a staple product i thought id throw it in. I've always had pretty good eyebrows, so filling them in was something off a 'special occasion' thing for me.  Now however i really notice the difference in my makeup/overall finished look when there not done, so although its a step i will miss if im being lazy - i still love using this for them on a regular basis - its also a pretty nice all over eye color aswell, it gives a subtle contour for a natural looking finish.

Bobbi Brown Corrector
Now that the mornings are getting colder and darker, i find it alot less easy to get out of bed and actually make an effort, so when i eventually do rise from within my pit, i look a little - weary? shall we say. This dos an excellent job of making me look awake and abit less like ive just rolled out of a bush. The formulation is creamy but still great coverage.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick In 22
Every girl needs a red lipstick around this time of year, i own a few more than one - but i picked this one up not so long ago and keep finding myself going back to it. Its creamy, dosnt dry your lips out at all and has good staying power, and even when it dos fade, it fades evenly and dosnt just leave you with that dreaded line around your lips. I get compliments everytime i wear it and it instantly gives me a nice pick me up.

#the turtle wins the race

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (available online or in john lewis)

OK. I know everyones mums, sisters, cats, dogs and even pet owls have written about this product before, but i thought i'd throw my two cents into the pond - why? because i was skeptical.

When i first received this product i was so excited to try it, id heard loads of great things about it from blogs, work friends & various strangers in shops while looking at the skincare section, so needless to say when i received it, i had high hopes! (high hopes, i got them high hopes) singing aside, i happily applied this every morning and evening for around the two week mark & unfortuantly it left my skin no other nice way of putting it, looking like shit. It was silky smooth like nothing id ever felt before, leaving half my face beautifully soft looking and the other half full of red itchy painful spots that were more just lumps than actual spots! Needless to say, i stopped using this and soon my skin recovered to its usual state. HOWEVER, I recently tried this again after running out of my usual cleanser/toner and have to say, i love it! after the first few uses (2) my skin had a little reaction but nothing out of the ordinary and leaves you with soft skin that feels cleaner then with any of cleanser ive tried. Im glad i didnt give this product a bad review in the first place, as sometimes i think you need to give things a second try and i think ive actually put it down to the moisterizer in this range that was causing the breakouts/reaction.

All in all i would definitly reccomend these products & will be repurchasing them when i run out of these, i just wish they were abit easier to get hold of!

Blackpool

At the beginning of this week me and my boyfriend hopped into Fifi (what i call his car) and headed onto a three hour journey of the M6. Surprisingly it wasnt that bad, blaring out gangham style (so bad, yet so good) and other various cheese of music. We didnt really have any plans while we were down there, apart from wanting to visit the primark - because lets be honest even on a break away a girl needs to shop! So upon arrival we just chilled for abit watching a film on my laptop in the hotel, then headed out to see what was nearby. We were quite lucky in the fact that our hotel was a short distance to the town centre, amusements ect and the beach was litrally over the road, thought unfortunatly there was no time to get the bikini out and have a swim as most of the time it was either raining, super windy or i proberly would of drowned from the waves being so high.

On the first night we were litrally just toodling about seeing what was around, we got some dinner and then just walked along the beach front, luckily as we were walking along a guy said something about a firework show so we managed to catch that which was really nice.
On the monday we'd planned on doing lots of shopping in the day, then heading out to the arcades at night but it got to about half ten in the morning and i started feeling really ill so we headed back to the hotel intill around 5 and after a long nap and some food and water i was feeling alot better so headed out to the arcades! I dont know about you guys, but i love arcades - i turn into a huge kid and love nothing more than walking around with a pot of 10 and 2ps to play on all the games.

On the last day we did all the shopping we'd planned to do the day before (i got ALOT from primark) its so good in there at the moment, and was one of the very few primarks ive been too where everything was actually tidy and on the right size hangers. We then dropped off all our shopping at the hotel and headed back into town to get some dinner, we chose nandos (pictured above) im a HUGE nandos fan, unfortunatly the nearest one to home is about 30minutes away on train so whenever i go somewhere with one i have to twist my boyfriends arm to have it as he likes it, but hes much happier with kfc as it fills him up more because the portions are bigger (according to him) but im always stuffed after a nandos, usually half way threw im eating it.

All in all i had a really nice time away, was nice to spend some time away from work and the usual daily routine and actually spend some quality time with my boyfriend - aswell as being near the seaside :)

stripes & sails

dress - primark  watch - micheal kors  bracelet - pandora (gift)

Hi there! Long time no blog? eh - i won't bore you with the details again.
I've always loved outfit posts, but as you can see there not really my fortay. My camera is still without a charger so these have been taken with the trusty old iMac, please excuse all mess in the background - unfortunately i don't have a wall with nothing on in any of my rooms. (pain in the tooshy)

I brought this dress from Primark last saturday on a trip to oxford with the boyfriend. We have actually been having some nice weather here at the moment so thought i'd get something i could wear as a casual day dress & also when it gets colder be able to pair with dark tights and boots and at £12 this fit the bill.

hopefully i'll be able to find/buy a charger for my camera soon and posts will be up regularly as i actually really miss blogging, before i wasn't to sure on it as i didn't really have alot of time to do so and felt abit of pressure in the blogosphere of things, but now i see it as more of a 'me' thing and actually find it fun to babble on about things.

Natural collection 'Haul'

I entitled this post as a haul, even though its not really a haul as its four things! But obviously im not the imaginative one and just wrote it in anyway as it best described what i was trying to say.
ANYWAY, blabber over. I've recently becameobsessed  started watching essiebutton on youtube, I hadnt heard of this girl before and im pretty sure i must of been living under a rock not to of known who she was. But fan girl obsession over, in one of her videos she talks about natural collection lipsticks and blushes which as soon as i saw i had to get my hands on!

Natural collection is usually a brand i pass by, rembering the 12 year old me slapping on the £1.99 awfully drying foundation and thinking i was the beesknees applying a lipgloss that smelled like candy, it never really appealed to me that much now i know (abit) more about makeup, but i was actually pleasently surprised.
The blush is in the shade 'Peach Melba' which i think every brand has in some sort of blush/lipstick/ect but never the less, its a good blush. When i swatched it for the pictures, i was surprised as it felt quite chalky - but ive been using it for a good week now and it applys beautifully with a brush (i use real techniques blusher brush) it gives you a gorgeous peachy/pink glow with a hint of brown undertone so it looks perfect with bronzer in the contour and its quickly became my go to blush.

I also picked up a white eyeliner. i REALLY want a nude coloured eyeliner but cant find one anywhere! other then posts about mac ones that we're in an old collection (le sigh) there nowhere to be found. So i settled for a white one for now & thought id give this ago as it was cheap and cheerful. Its Ok - its not that pigmented which i quite like because i think as im pale it would be to stark being full on matte white, but it dosnt stay on long (1-2hours) and if you want a white, white eyeliner its not for you.

The lipsticks we're my most exciting purchase as im a huge lipstick junkie, it can completly change my mood and make me feel so glamorous! I picked up 'Rose Petal' (pinky coral nude) and 'Crimson' (red) i like both, but crimson has to be my favourite. Rose petal looks gorgeous in the swatch but dosnt go that colour on my lips, its more of just a sheen! Crimson however has excellent pigmentation - i like to put a little bit in the center of my lips and pat it outwards for a little flush of colour for daytime and then just whack it on for night time looks. Its a little more vampy berry toned then you average joe red, but i really like it.

All Natural Collection products are £1.99 & available at boots.
What do you think of them? Any loves or hates?

Ebay Handbag Lust

I got bored one evening and decided to look on ebay, as we all do im sure! I brought a cute little iphone case for £2.49, but im definitly going back for one of these handbags come payday!
1) actually has little skulls on, even though it just looks like studs in this picture, so its definitly right up my street - and in this minty blue colour its hard to resist. 2) is a little more practical and alot more me. Its big, useful and go's with everything! and finally 3) look at that colour! and ive been lusting over a bag this shape since the mulberry alexa, but unfortuantly thats way out of my price range! decisions..

OPI Nail Envy

OPI Nail Envy

Long time no blogging! Been a crazy few weeks, been to San Francisco aswell as loads of other stuff happening in my personal life which havnt been that great, but hey ho - thats life. I brought quite alot while on holiday, i was going to write a post 'hauling' it all, but it would of been massive, so decided to do it in odds & bodds instead! However, i will put a 'San Francisco' tag to all of them so its easy to find if you'd like to see everything i brought out there.

Anyway, on to the good stuff - I picked this up as ive wanted it for ages but with a steep price tag of £18.95, I just couldnt justify it. Out in the US, its a more reasonable price of $16, which works out as about £ , which is abit more justified & when your on holiday, you think sod it, why not!
I first read about this on a post someone else did (so long ago, i cant remember whos!) and have wanted to try it since. My nails have never been in great condition, i always pick at them when im nervous, annoyed, any emotion other than happy and ill pick at them - unless im wearing nail polish then i'll pick that off instead. But all the scratching and picking left me with some what chipped and short nails, so i picked this up hoping it would be a little miracle in an OPI bottle.

And so far, it is. I dont want to jump to conclusions as ive only been using this for a week (bottle reccomends two weeks usage to see difference) but my nails are longer than ive ever seen them, BUT - i also had a manicure while on holiday which i also think could have something to do with the recent growth and i've also been trying really hard not to pick them! so could be either, or. But my nails are definitly alot stronger since using this - and ill definitly be posting an update in about a months time.
